Meet Paulette Watson, our for today

Paulette Watson is the Managing Director for Academy Achievers. One of the most important pawns in Academy Achievers community, Paulette Watson has deep expertise in business strategy, people management, and organisation development.

Born and raised in Newham, Paulette Watson understands the need for quality education for the local children from all backgrounds. From the head of the Academy Achievers, she militates for high-quality support in schools and for a curriculum that is related to today’s working challenges.

With an MA in ICT and Education, and an MBA in International School Leadership, Paulette Watson has spent a decade as an educational technologist. She was responsible for all aspects of the company’s communications capabilities that are meant to drive the performance of a business. From these abilities, she focused on Digital Transformational Strategy, Data Analytics, Gender Diversity, and Recruiting, skills that she has applied in the local community of Academy Achievers. During the years, Paulette Watson has implemented these values in the Academy’s management, so students and young people would be digitally literate and be able to face the digital world.

Paulette has sat on the board of Equality Team Lewisham as Treasurer and Vice Chair. She also sits on the Newhan Partnership, which is a not for profit but a mutual organisation owned by schools to provide high-quality support services for schools.

Paulette also sits on the Board, Youth First as Non-Executive Director, a mutual owned and run by professional youth workers and young people.

Paulette Watson worked as a Computer Science teacher and taught GCSE, and at A levels. She spent nearly 12 years working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The experience helped her in the role of Managing Director of Academy Achievers, as she deeply understands how to examine the mental inequality in education. Using her community projects, she analyses the mental inequality in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and applies them in the educational methods.

Paulette is a soon to be recipient of The PRECIOUS Awards 2021 and and one of our prestigious speakers at the Pan-African Women's Investment Virtual Summit on November 20, 2021.
