With immense pride and a profound sense of purpose, the Africa Trade Academy (ATA) celebrated a historic maiden graduation of its inaugural class from the F**T Diploma in International Trade. In a ceremony brimming with hope and determination, 25 senior business executives from across the continent transitioned from scholars to leaders, ready to shape the future of African commerce.
The event commenced with a dignified academic procession led by the esteemed chair, Naa Alhaji Seidu Daari. This solemnity gave way to a surge of cultural energy as a dynamic traditional dance ensemble from Northern Ghana took the stage, beautifully encapsulating the spirit of a continent on the move, one that honors its heritage while forging a bold, integrated future.
ATA's Dean, Mr. Dode Seidu, welcomed the assembly with palpable excitement, framing the day not merely as a conclusion but as a pivotal commencement.
The keynote address by Mr. Ziad Hamoui, National President of Borderless Alliance, elevated the ceremony from celebration to a powerful call to action. With conviction, he positioned the graduates as the essential catalysts for continental progress.
“Trade training is not peripheral; it is the very heartbeat of Africa’s integration,” Mr. Hamoui asserted.
The emotional core of the ceremony shone through as graduate representatives from Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo took the stage.
The culmination was a deeply moving moment of recognition. As each graduate was draped in a specially woven Kente stole; a vivid symbol of honor, achievement, and cultural pride, exuding a tangible sense of accomplishment. The presentation of certificates by the Dean, keynote speaker, and Advisory Board was more than a formal act; it was a symbolic passing of the torch to a new generation of Africa’s trade and economic architects and geniuses.
ATA is pleased to announce that the next cohort for the F**T Diploma in International Trade will commence on February 23, 2026.
