DUNK-Developing Unity Nurturing Knowledge DUNK is a Youth-led Community Based Organization working in most marginalised communities of Ghana.

BACKGROUND
DUNK was established in 2010 and work with nurturing vulnerable groups through sports to become the voice of change in their communities through various action-led initiatives. Over the past 11 years, DUNK has created safe community spaces to promote the right to play and to nurturing children’s and youth competences through sports and education. The organization currently operates in 7 locations in Accra and Tamale. VISION

We are pleased to welcome Ms Judith Cathebras from France 🇫🇷 to DUNK-GRASSROOTS 🇬🇭 as our Communications & Social Impact Officer (Outcome Harvest Team).

Over the next 6-12 months, her mandate has two priorities: documenting our communities' transformation through a standalone impact portfolio, and strengthening the social media presence of Step Up—a social enterprise supporting women in fashion and garment production.

We look forward to the stories she will help us tell.

Three days. Four organisations. One shared mission.

Last week in Nairobi, Kenya, young people and EducationThroughSports , GAME International , Amani Kibera and MIDRIFT HURINET came together for an international Training of Trainers.

We learned. We played. We connected. We challenged ideas. 💥

From leadership, Gender and inclusion to wellbeing, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, we explored how sport can empower young people to lead and create change.

But something bigger was happening in Nairobi… 👀

Last week DUNK Grassroots, GAME , Amani Kibera and HURINET came together in Nairobi, Kenya for an international Training of Trainers.

The Playmaker Programme trains
young people to lead weekly street sports and
life skills sessions right in their communities.
You bring the energy. We bring the tools,
the training, and the network.

As a Playmaker you will:

🏀 Lead weekly sports activities for children
in your community
🛠 Build practical leadership and facilitation skills
🌍 Join a movement of young changemakers across
Ghana, Kenya and Denmark

📚 Access resources and training to run your
own community sessions
