Giving Flowers

Today, we want to recognize and celebrate the outstanding leadership of our Country Director, Florentine Adjoa Ansah-Asare.

Over the past three years, Florentine has led Edify Ghana with clarity, purpose, and deep commitment. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding our reach — today, Edify Ghana is active in all 16 regions, partnering with over 3,000 Christ-centered low-fee private schools.

We deeply value her, strategic direction, consistent and compassionate leadership, focus on impact and growth, and vision for sustainable transformation in Christ-centered education.

Thank you, Florentine, for the way you lead with both heart and wisdom. Your work is creating lasting change in the lives of students, educators, and communities across Ghana.

Edify Partner Schools Student Alumni (EPSSA)

EPSSA brings together students who completed their basic education at Edify Partner Schools, to grow together through intentional Christ-centered programs — including seminars, bootcamps, conferences, and peer engagement.

This year, we hosted our very first EPSSA Bootcamp, and it was nothing short of transformational! Participants explored: High Performance Skills, Career Planning, Digital Skills, and Biblical Worldview.

It’s just the beginning of a powerful journey of faith, leadership, and impact. We’re excited to see how God will use these young leaders in their spheres of influence.

We are honored to have Mrs. Emelia Boatemah Osei-Derkyi, Deputy Controller and Accountant General at the Controller and Accountant General’s Department, Ghana, as our keynote speaker for the Edify 15th Anniversary Conference.

With years of distinguished service in Ghana’s public finance sector, Mrs. Osei Derkyi brings a wealth of expertise, insight, and inspiration. Edify will be leveraging on her expertise to deliver on the financial impact made in Ghana on low fee private schools in relation to our theme.

Celebrating 15 Years of Impact – Mr. Godwin Fiagbor

Today, we celebrate a true pioneer in the Edify Ghana story – Mr. Godwin Fiagbor, affectionately known by the team as “Bossu.”

Godwin joined Edify Ghana as the first staff member in 2010 and has been part of every major milestone since. From humble beginnings to where we are today, he has played a vital role in shaping our mission and expanding our reach.

Between 2010 and 2013, Godwin was Edify Ghana’s only staff member—and during that time, he built the blueprint for partner school engagement with unmatched dedication and passion.

As Country Director (2017–2022), his leadership was grounded in one key principle:
“All things done with excellence and high integrity.”

By the time he handed over leadership 2022, he knew all 1,200+ partner schools by name —a testament to his commitment and heart for the mission.

His predecessor, Ken Appenteng, said it best:
"Godwin is focused, innovative, and knows all the schools."

Today, Godwin serves as the Vice President of Edify West Africa, continuing to lead with wisdom, vision, and humility.

Here’s to 15 years of servant leadership, innovation, and unwavering commitment to Christian education. Your legacy continues to inspire us all.

Celebrating 15 Years of Impact!

As we mark 15 years of empowering Low-Fee Private Schools across Ghana, we honor the visionary leadership of our very first Country Director, Ken Appenteng, affectionately known as Uncle Ken.

Uncle Ken laid the strong foundation that continues to sustain Edify Ghana today. His leadership was rooted in one key principle: transformation through relationships. A Godly man with a servant heart, his Christ-like dedication has shaped the lives of many and contributed powerfully toward our mission of building flourishing, Godly nations.

Thank you, Uncle Ken, for your unwavering faith, wisdom, and Christ-like service. Your legacy lives on in every school, student, and educator we reach.
