Be Empowered! Ghana

Be Empowered! Ghana Let's end Gender Based Violence in Schools in Ghana! School should be a safe place. Never heard of gender based violence?

A place for learning, for making friends and for preparing for life after school. It should NOT be a place where you are afraid, or where you suffer from abuse or violence. But sadly, this is often the case, so in response, the Human Rights Advocacy Centre Ghana (on the back of research in schools in Ghana) created a website: www.beempoweredghana.com. Our website is dedicated to helping YOU learn

more about YOUR RIGHTS and the laws that are designed to protect you, the students of schools in Ghana. There are also places on the website where you can share your story, get help if you need it, and learn some great tips for keeping yourself safe at school. This website is just the place for you to learn more! The website has a detailed description of what gender based violence is, how to empower yourself and more resources for teachers and students.
