A Pastoral Letter to the People of La and the GaDangme State

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we celebrate the birth of Christ and the dawn of a new year, we, the La Development Institute (LDI), extend our heartfelt greetings and warmest wishes to the people of La and the entire GaDangme State for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This festive season comes with much to be grateful for, not least the peaceful conduct of the general elections. Your commitment to democracy and unity has once again illuminated the strength of our community and our dedication to peace.

We thank all stakeholders—traditional authorities, civil society, and every citizen—for your role in ensuring this success.

In this moment of renewal and hope, we take the opportunity to congratulate the Member of Parliament-elect for La, Hon. Rita Odoley Sowah, and the President-elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, on their victories. Your mandate is a testament to the trust and confidence the people have placed in you to lead us into a brighter future.

We pledge our unflinching support and collaboration as we work together to achieve the development aspirations of La and the GaDangme State.

As we usher in 2025, (LDI) is poised to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by this transition. Our commitment to fostering socio-economic development, quality education, healthcare, infrastructure, and cultural preservation remains resolute. Together with the new Government, our stakeholders, and development partners, we are dedicated to building “The New La We Want.”

Let us all embrace this season of goodwill by extending kindness to those in need and fostering unity among ourselves. Let us also pray for wisdom and guidance for our leaders as they navigate the path toward a more prosperous La and Ghana.
