COES-WIO invites applications for its second annual program, to be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from September 20โ€“26, 2026. The program is open to students, early-career researchers, mid-career professionals, and stakeholders in ocean-related fields across the Western Indian Ocean region.

This initiative is organized through a partnership involving the University of Michigan, University of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania Fisheries & Research Institute, Marine Parks & Reserve-Tanzania, Sustainable Ocean Alliance Hub Tanzania, IOC Africa, Early Career Ocean Professional (ECOP), and WIOMSA.

Application deadline: June 17, 2026.
