Marine litter is not a problem one organisation can solve alone. Government, businesses, communities, researchers, civil society and individuals all have a role to play.

Through stronger collaboration, shared responsibility and sustained action, we can protect our coastlines and prevent waste from reaching the ocean. 🌊

Who else should be part of the solution?

💡🐟 PROTEGO – Prevention of Marine Litter in the Gulf of Guinea is a 3-year initiative (July 2024 – June 2027), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety.

Change does not have to happen overnight, but it must begin. 🌍

By gradually phasing down single-use plastics, businesses and consumers can adjust while Ghana benefits from day one. Every shop that joins brings us closer to a cleaner, plastic-free future. ♻️💙
