Following the participation of the O'Reilly SHS in the Regional Qualifiers, we are elated to inform you that the Team has qualified for the National Championship (Preliminary Stage) of the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz which will take place after the 2024 Wassce Examination. The team is therefore calling on all and sundry to support us with Prayers, cash, educational materials, pep talks, etc.
The NSMQ team is currently made up of 25 students drawn from forms 1, 2, and 3 ( Males - 20, Females - 5) as well as 7 teachers (6 males and 1 Female). They are occasionally assisted by external trainers who are also paid for their services. Below are some of the items needed by the team:
1. 3 copies of each of 36 different textbooks ( Physics - 7, Biology - 10, Mathematics - 10, Chemistry - 9). 16 of these textbooks and needed urgently. The cost of each textbook ranges between GHC 150.00 to 300.00 cedis
2. Multicoloured Wireless NSMQ Bell - GHC 16,000.00
3. About GHC 30,000.00 to cater for the feeding and transportation of the Students, Teachers, and External Trainers.
To show appreciation to the NSMQ team, we are appealing for voluntary contributions from members and the general public to support them.
