Following our successful advocacy to get government to intervene in the increase of sachet water in , On Wednesday April 8th 2026, our Director Appiah Adomako Esq was invited to participate in the high-level meeting alongside key industry actors, including the Plastic Manufacturers Association and the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers. His presence ensured that the voice remained central to the discussions.

The decisive intervention by the Minister of Trade, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and the willingness of industry to reconsider their position demonstrate what is possible when government, civil society, and the private sector engage in good faith.

While we acknowledge the cost pressures facing , we commend this decision as a step toward balancing business sustainability with consumer welfare.

We remain committed to advocating for fair , , and that protect vulnerable .

continues to function as a single city, yet governance now operates through more than twenty assemblies working independently. , drainage systems, developments, and corridors cut across several jurisdictions.

The creation of multiple assemblies was not a mistake. The mistake was failing to build a city-level transport authority to coordinate planning after the fragmentation.

This mismatch has weakened planning, reduced accountability, and made effective transportation management difficult.

We make a case for to establish an City Transportation Authority to regulate, plan, and coordinate transport across the capital.
