World Vision Ghana's Faith and Development Unit recently convened a three-day Consultative Workshop in Accra, bringing together children ministry leaders, pastors, theological seminary participants and staff to shape the future of child-centred Creation Care.
Through Bible study, theological reflection and collaborative framework development, participants reviewed the Creation Care Guide for Children and developed practical pathways for integrating environmental stewardship into church ministry and theological education.
Key outcomes included:
✅ A draft Creation Care Framework for Children
✅ Six theological affirmations for child-focused teaching
✅ Practical church actions such as tree-planting on birthdays and reducing single-use plastics
✅ An agreed roadmap for validation and piloting across churches
Together, we are equipping children to learn, lead and influence positive environmental action while empowering churches to institutionalise Creation Care as a vital part of discipleship.
🙏 Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all partners, stakeholders, facilitators and participants whose commitment, expertise and contributions made this important milestone possible. Thank you for joining us in championing a greener, more sustainable future for children and communities.
