CHEF GEORGE SHINES IN CHINA, INSPIRES THE NEXT GENERATION & ELEVATES CULINARY DIPLOMACY
We proudly celebrate Chef George, Executive Chef of Central Hotels ([email protected]) — a dedicated Member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Ghana – Accra Bailliage — for his outstanding contributions to Ghana’s culinary landscape both locally and on the world stage.
Representing Ghana at the FHC Shanghai Culinary Championship 2025
Earlier this month, Chef George showcased Ghana’s culinary talent at the prestigious FHC Shanghai International Hospitality & Culinary Championship 2025, held from 9th to 14th in Shanghai, China.
This global event united top culinary teams from around the world, including:
🇨🇭 Switzerland • 🇲🇽 Mexico • 🇨🇳 China • 🇬🇭 Ghana • 🇵🇭 Philippines • and others.
More than a competition, FHC is a world-class platform dedicated to:
• Training young chefs aged 8–16
• Showcasing culinary schools across Asia
• Connecting chefs and hospitality leaders with global suppliers and innovators
• Raising standards across the global culinary industry
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the competition reflects the vision of its founder, Chef Clinton, whose mission has always been to build, train, and elevate the hospitality sector across China and Asia.
Ghana’s participation marks a proud moment — and Chef George stood tall among the best.

Teaching & Talent Development at RIUC – Rosebank International University College
Back home in Accra, Chef George continues to nurture the next generation of chefs through his impactful teaching at RIUC.
First Lecture: Understanding the Culinary World
He introduced students to:
• Global cuisines and their origins
• The journey of becoming a chef
• How kitchen operations and production systems work
• What differentiates world cuisines through ingredients and culture
Homework: Students were tasked to explore the history and significance of the chef’s white jacket and full uniform — instilling discipline, respect for tradition, and professional pride.
Second Lecture: International Pastries & Their Origins
Students examined:
• Pastry traditions across continents
• The cultural heritage of iconic desserts
• How global influences shape pastry evolution
His mentorship continues to inspire and empower Ghana’s future culinary leaders.

Culinary Diplomacy with the Peruvian Embassy
Earlier this month, Chef George also lent his talent to the Peruvian Embassy’s culinary collaboration event held at Villa Monticello.
The occasion celebrated cultural exchange, gastronomic diplomacy, and the harmony of Peruvian–Ghanaian flavours.
His contribution added depth, professionalism, and creative flair to an evening that honoured international friendship through food — a value deeply shared by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
