In Ghana, the initiative will be driven by young designers dubbed FASHION AMALGAMATED TALENTS [ FAT ] - GHANA working through a Product Development Centre under the supervision of an accomplished fashion design mentor, designated as ITC’s Creative Director for Ghana in order to lead collaborative product development and facilitate intermediation with international and regional buyers, and provide
an industry focal point for coordinating ITC support. The Product Development Centre works with local designers all product development, prototyping, market development and sales promotion activities. It also receives orders from buyers and farms out purchase/production orders to local SMEs and to micro producers to produce the final products, which are collected and centrally shipped to the buyers.
