Based in Accra Ghana it has a great number of membershs among the youth and provides training and capacity building to the youth as well as promotes advocacy for environmental sustainability in Ghana. YVE Ghana has undertaken a number of activities and is also a member of the Civil Society Organisations Network in Ghana promoting climate change advocacy. Recognised by the United Nations ECOSOC and UNFCCC - United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, a member of African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC) and YOUNGO - Youth Climate Parliament. JVE International (Jeunes Volontaires pour l’Environnement) is an NGO created in November 2001 by some rural youths motivated by the rapid degradation of the environment in their community in Togo, West Africa. One year later, the group grew and eventually accepted the first ever local branch (as community-based chapters are called). JVE International is headquarters in Lomé, Togo. Since then, JVE has grown continuously: over 30 local branches in cities and villages across Togo and international branches in 9 West African, 7 Central African, 2 East African, 2 Southern African and 2 North African countries (as well as branches in Canada, USA, Mexico, Belgium and Switzerland). These branches now constitute the network of JVE international of which YVE Ghana is a prominent member. JVE has well-established relations with governmental institutions and the media. In addition to the implementation of on-the-ground projects, JVE International produces several radio and television programs on local, regional and national levels and often finds partner cooperation with government ministries. Despite the Togolese political situation, JVE is gradually strengthening its political advocacy capacity. in french
JVE (Jeunes Volontaires pour l'Environnement) est une ONG créée en Novembre 2001 par des jeunes des régions rurales pour lutter contre la dégradation rapide de l'environnement dans leur communauté au Togo en Afrique de l'Ouest. Un an plus t**d, le groupe a grandi et par le travail d’une jeune femme dynamique, il va ouvrir sa première succursale internationale. Ainsi naît JVE au Nigeria et par la suite JVE a ouvert son siège international à Lomé au Togo. Depuis lors, JVE n'a cessé de croître: plus de 30 sections locales dans les villes et villages à travers le Togo et branches internationales : 9 en Afrique de l'Ouest, 7 en Afrique centrale,2 en Afrique de l'Est , 2 en Afrique australe et 2 dans les pays nord-africains (ainsi que des succursales au Canada, États-Unis, le Mexique, la Belgique et la Suisse). Ces branches constituent désormais le réseau international de JVE. C’est dans cette dynamique que naît JVE Cameroun

JVE a des relations bien établies avec les institutions gouvernementales, diplomatiques et les médias. En plus de la mise en œuvre des projets sur le terrain, JVE produit plusieurs émissions de radio et de télévision aux niveaux local, régional et national et trouve souvent des partenaires de coopération avec les ministères.
