Ghana has just shown the world how you handle mistreatment of citizens.

Israel sent back three Ghanaians despite them holding valid visas and Ghana responded immediately by deporting three Israeli nationals.

Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa made it clear: if you deport one Ghanaian, one of yours goes home too. Deport five? Don’t be surprised when five of yours follow.

Ghana will not tolerate the mistreatment of its citizens. The “one-for-one” rule is now firmly in place, and diplomatic tensions are rising.

Today, the international community has witnessed how this individual made a phone call to an associate in Nigeria 🇳🇬, instructing him to intervene in a coup underway in Benin 🇧🇯. Notably, that associate single-handedly decided to deploy his country’s fighter jets to bomb a neighboring country. We have also observed French military aircraft hovering over Cotonou. Despite these events, some skeptics persist in believing that Africans lack the capacity for self-governance and that foreign interference is not a contributing factor. These individuals will go to great lengths to preserve the existing state of affairs in Africa. However, they will be unable to halt the tide of change transforming the continent. France’s influence in Africa is a significant concern.
