As we commemorate today, we join the call for a collaboration to create a peaceful, sustainable, prosperous, and food-secure future. OXFAM in Ghana joins the world to celebrate every girl child today. This year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” reminds us that, girls are not just recipients of support, they are leaders shaping solutions in education, climate action, and gender justice.

As the world mark 30 years since the Beijing Declaration, this year's commemoration is a rallying cry to see girls for who they truly are, to listen to their voices and to recognize their limitless potential. For girls aren’t waiting for a better world, they are building it.
