Ghana makes bold decision to offer free visa to all Africans traveling to the country. This is a major decision that aligns with Ghana's position as a gateway to Africa.

Visa free movement in Africa is expected to enhance intra-African trade, boosting African economies and creating jobs for the millions of youth who enter the job market everyday.

Are you new to Africans Rising? Are you curious about reparations?

This Thursday, 29 January 2026 at 5:00pm EAT, Africans Rising for Reparative Justice – Reparations Action Group (RAG) is hosting a catch-up and new members’ info session for everyone who wants to be part of the reparations struggle.

In this session, we shall be getting grounded in what reparative justice really means, sharing vital lessons from ongoing organising across Africa and the diaspora. We shall also be understanding where the movement is now, and what comes next.
We shall also be exploring practical ways you can contribute, whether you’re an activist, academician, organiser, student, creative, or simply committed to justice.

Reparations are not abstract because they touch borders, debt, land, culture, climate, and dignity. The movement grows stronger when more people understand their role in it. If you care about Pan-Africanism, justice, and Africa’s future, this meeting space is for you.

Come learn. Come connect. Come organise.

Ghana is a hub for Pan-Africanism. It should not be charging fellow Africans as much as $200 for visa-on-arrival. Kenya, Rwanda, The Gambia, Benin and Seychelles have already done it.

It is time for Ghana to become completely visa-free for all Africans.

Ghanaians organised a counter protest against Nigeria Must Go, labelling the earlier protest organized by a politician as "Hate Speech and Anti-African".

The counter protest was organized to commemorate the birthday of the late Kwame Nkrumah who was a champion of African unity.

It was under the theme, "Embrace Love, Not Hate"

This is a good message. Ghana is known for its hospitality and neighbourliness. Even though we must protect the peace and order we have, it is not a yardstick for some to become unwelcome to fellow Africans. This could backfire negatively on our nation.

God bless Ghana our motherland.
