Human trafficking is a pressing issue in Africa, where countless children and youth are trapped in domestic servitude and forced labor. These young lives are stripped of their potential and freedom, facing exploitation and abuse daily.

Join us at the AYLF Leadership Conference to hear from Paul, an esteemed advocate for youth, health, gender, and climate action rights. As a Board Member at the Imara Leadership Initiative in Tanzania, Petrider brings a wealth of experience and passion for social justice and environmental sustainability.

Petrider's impressive career includes serving on the African Union Youth Advisory Council, where she advised the AU Youth Envoy, and the Youth Advisory Board for youth in conflict under the Office of the Commissioner of Human Rights in Geneva. She has led significant initiatives, including coordinating youth engagement with border communities to combat trafficking and illegal migration, and advocating for gender equality and climate action through the EAC Youth Ambassadors Platform.

With a BA in International Relations from the University of Dodoma and a Post-Graduate in Economic Diplomacy, Petrider is a recognized leader and a Commonwealth Point of Light Awardee, honored by Queen Elizabeth II for her efforts to end gender-based violence.

After fleeing the war in Ukraine, Korrine mobilized her platforms to raise over £300,000 to support African refugees, earning recognition as one of the 100 most influential people of African descent. Her impactful advocacy led to an address at the United Nations Transforming Education Summit in 2022, where she highlighted the importance of educational access for all.

Korrine's dedication to this cause earned her roles as a Young Champion for Refugees with UNHCR and a United Nations Women Delegate for CSW67, with her efforts acknowledged at the UN Security Council in 2022. Back in the UK, she founded KS Creatives, VirtuTask, and Prints and Gifts Co., showcasing her commitment to innovation and education.
