Meet the newest members of the B.A.L.L Project team — our Youth Research Assistants. 👏

These young researchers will lead community-based data collection and facilitate dialogue sessions with key stakeholders on youth development across their communities in Ghana.

Their findings will feed directly into a transnational research process shared across Ghana, Kenya, and Denmark, helping three countries and four organisations refine how we approach youth leadership and community development through sport and non-formal learning.

This is youth-led research with real continental and international reach. Welcome to the team. 🌍

Gender equality is not achieved by empowering girls alone, it is strengthened when boys and young men actively choose to become allies.

Through a playmaker led initiative, the Boys For Change movement is creating spaces where young people can exchange harmful stereotypes, promote respect, and engage in honest conversations around masculinity, accountability, and equality.

GAME GHANA continues to use sport as a tool for education, leadership, and social transformation — equipping young people not only to compete, but to lead communities rooted in inclusion, empathy, and equal opportunity for women and girls.

“From awareness to action — boys becoming allies for equality.”

This is more than a conversation.
This is youth-led change in motion.

We just kicked off a new project focusing on youth leadership and civic engagement 🧡

Over the next two years, we’re a part of the B.A.L.L. project – Building Active Youth Leadership through Non-Formal Learning. An exciting project empowering young people across three countries to share knowledge, build skills and support a growing movement around youth leadership.

It’s all about:
🏀 Strengthening youth leadership through sport and non-formal learning
🌍 Creating peer-to-peer learning and exchanges between young people across countries
🗣️Supporting young people in taking active roles in their communities and society

Together with GAME, HURINET and Kibera, we are four project partners from Ghana, Kenya and Denmark. All experienced in working with youth in different local contexts and communities – bringing together different methods and approaches 🤝

We’re excited to learn from each other and proud to build this journey together with partners who share the same belief: youth are not just part of the change — they are leading it 🔥

Thanks to European Commission and CISU - Civilsamfund i Udvikling for supporting the project 🙏 See less

💜 Volunteer of the Year 2025 💜

From curiosity to leadership - this year’s Volunteer of the Year award goes to Ikrame Bouali, a dedicated Playmaker and Zone Manager from the Tunis Medina GAME Zone in GAME Tunisia🏆

At just 24 years old and while pursuing her master’s degree, Ikram has shown exceptional commitment, leadership and passion for creating positive change through sport and youth engagement.

Since joining GAME in 2022, Ikrame has grown from volunteer to facilitator and now Zone Manager - taking on responsibilities that include coordinating teams, supporting fellow playmakers, and helping deliver impactful activities and practice sessions across Tunisia.

Her dedication, discipline and positive energy have made her a respected role model among her peers. Beyond GAME, Ikrame also contributes to student development as Head of Skills Development in her university club, where she facilitates life-skills and teambuilding activities for young people.

Ikrame’s journey is a powerful example of how young leaders can grow through community, responsibility and opportunity - and how volunteering can create lasting impact far beyond the court 🌍

Congratulations, Ikrame, and thank you for inspiring us all! 👏

Building Bridges. Breaking Barriers. 🏀🌍

Sport is more than the game—it’s a force that brings us together, creates opportunity, and drives lasting change.

Today, on the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, we celebrate the power of sport to unite communities, amplify voices, and open doors for all.

We iterate our commitment to strengthening bridges and break barriers—on and off the court.
