4Tendrons foundation is a newly established Non-Governmental Organization that aims at eradicating poverty by helping solve education, water and sanitation related problems facing schools and rural communities and protecting women and children’s right in Ghana. Our Vision
Quality education, good health and socio-economic development for rural communities in Ghana. Our Objectives
1. Education
• Pr
ovide schools with amenities such as class rooms, desks, libraries, ICT centers, and canteens.
• School block renovation
• To raise money to support brilliant but needy students in the rural communities. This support will be implemented through the payment of school fees, purchasing of books, school bags and uniforms.
2. Water
• Provide schools and communities that have access to unclean water with potable water through the provision of boreholes and water storage tanks.
3. Sanitation
• To enhance the use of improved sanitation systems such as bins, W.C and KVIP in rural communities and schools.
• To promote good sanitation practices through education. This will be done by introducing a sanitation club in the various schools in selected communities. The activities of the sanitation club will include:
Organizing clean up exercises in schools and their surroundings
Organizing quiz competition among the various schools in the community and
Educating the community in which the school is located on proper sanitation measures.
4. Women and children
• To decrease the number of street children in Ghana.
• To improve the living standards of young women in Ghana through education and entrepreneurship(Vocational training)
