Our Story

The Trade Capacity Building Programme for Ghana is funded by Switzerland through the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation(UNIDO) in partnership with the Ministry Of Trade and Industry of Ghana (MOTI).

The Programme aims to enhancing the capacity of Ghana to participate in global trade with a focus on improving quality infrastructure and global trade conformity measures.

In October 2018. UNIDO and partners celebrated 10 years of joint cooperation towards improving trade facilitation and quality in Ghana ending a decade of programme focused on fruits, cocoa, fish, fruits and wood.

The cooperation helped Ghana lay the foundation for a national quality infrastructure policy, and to develop numerous standards for the wood, fish, cocoa and fruits industries.
