63 YEARS OF IMPACT

Today, we celebrate 63 remarkable years of life, leadership, innovation and dedicated service to Ghana.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's journey in public service has been distinguished by a strong commitment to digital transformation, financial inclusion, modernisation and the application of technology to everyday challenges. During his tenure as Vice President, he became one of the most prominent advocates for building a more digitally connected and efficient Ghana.

Beyond the speeches and policy discussions are numerous programmes and reforms that he championed, promoted, initiated or helped oversee, particularly across digitalisation, healthcare, financial services and public-sector delivery.

These initiatives span several sectors, but they share a common objective: using innovation, technology and institutional reforms to improve how citizens interact with the state and how essential services are delivered.

As with every period of public leadership, history will ultimately judge the successes, shortcomings and long-term effects of these policies. What cannot easily be overlooked, however, is the scale of the digitalisation agenda and the determination to introduce technology-driven solutions into Ghana's development architecture.

At 63, we celebrate not merely another birthday, but a journey characterised by ideas, innovation, public service and an enduring desire to contribute to Ghana's development.

May this new age bring you greater wisdom, strength, good health and renewed energy for the journey ahead.

Happy 63rd Birthday, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡πŸŽ‚

Congratulations Chairman

I do not see myself as better than anyone else. I see myself as a voice for the youth, a representative of their hopes, dreams and aspirations. My ambition goes beyond personal success; it is about creating opportunities and ensuring that the next generation has a fair chance to rise.

So many destinies risk remaining in the shadows if we fail to restore power in 2028. Our youth deserve opportunities, our people deserve hope, and our future deserves a renewed commitment to progress.

The NPP must rise again in 2028, not just for political power, but for the countless dreams and destinies that depend on a brighter future.

Kojo Bamba
NPP National First Vice Chairman-Elect

THIS GOVERNMENT HAS LOST IT β€” SERIES 1

Seven people arrested over money bouquets? Seriously?

We have watched cedi notes being sprayed and thrown around at public events, including politically connected events, yet suddenly money bouquets have become an enforcement priority.

If abusing the cedi is the offence, then THE LAW CANNOT HAVE FAVOURITES!

Don’t show strength against ordinary citizens while appearing silent when similar conduct involves celebrities or political actors.

One Ghana. One cedi. One law. Apply it equally!

THE BIGGEST BAIT-AND-SWITCH OF THE 2024 CAMPAIGN?

Ghanaians were not sold a "future possibility." They were sold a promise.

The NDC toured every corner of this country campaigning on the 24-Hour Economy as the game-changing policy that would transform Ghana, create massive employment and revive businesses. We were told factories would run around the clock under a 1:3:3 shift system, creating thousands of additional jobs and unlocking unprecedented economic growth.

That promise was not hidden in fine print. It was the centrepiece of the NDC's 2024 campaign.

Today, after winning power, the narrative appears to be changing. Instead of showing Ghanaians where the promised 24-Hour Economy is being rolled out, we are now being told not to expect it within the government's four-year mandate.

So, what exactly did Ghanaians vote for?

If the 24-Hour Economy was the flagship promise that convinced millions to vote for the NDC, why are some of its own leading voices now lowering expectations? Is this an admission that the promise was merely an election slogan?

Ghanaians deserve honesty, not shifting goalposts. A government that asked to be judged by its promises cannot now ask citizens to forget those same promises.

The 24-Hour Economy. The 1:3:3 job-shift system. The jobs. The opportunities.

These were not gifts to Ghanaiansβ€”they were commitments made to win power. The Ghanaian people have every right to demand results, not excuses.

Campaign promises are a contract with the people. When that contract is abandoned, accountability must begin.
