๐Ÿ“ฃ GOT A COMPLAINT? A CONCERN? A SUGGESTION?
Donโ€™t just talk about it โ€” report it to the right place.

The Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC) at your Municipal or District Assembly is there to ensure your voice is heard and your issues are addressed.

At Voice Center for Inclusive Communities, we are educating citizens on how to use the PRCC to strengthen accountability, transparency, and trust in local governance.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ What is the PRCC?

The PRCC is a special committee within the Assembly that receives and addresses public complaints, concerns, feedback, and petitions on governance, development, and service delivery.

๐Ÿ“Œ What Can You Report?

โœ… Delayed or abandoned development projects
โœ… Poor service delivery (e.g. sanitation, water, electricity, roads)
โœ… Misconduct by Assembly staff or officials
โœ… Land use and zoning conflicts
โœ… Any issue affecting the public interest

๐Ÿงญ How to Use the PRCC:

๐Ÿ”ธ Submit a written complaint to the Assembly office addressed to the PRCC
๐Ÿ”ธ Attend public hearings or feedback sessions organized by the committee
๐Ÿ”ธ Request updates on actions taken on your complaint
๐Ÿ”ธ Work with your Assembly Member to follow up on unresolved issues

๐Ÿ“ข Silence is not a solution.
Make the system work by engaging it the right way.
The PRCC is YOUR platform โ€” use it to protect your rights and improve your community.

๐Ÿ›‘ MISINFORMATION. DISINFORMATION. FAKE NEWS.
Letโ€™s talk about them. Letโ€™s stop them.

๐Ÿ“ฃ In todayโ€™s digital world, not everything you read or share is true.
At Voice Center for Inclusive Communities, we believe truth empowers communities โ€” and false information can divide, mislead, and even harm.

๐Ÿ” Whatโ€™s the difference?
โœ… Misinformation โ€“ False information shared without intent to harm.
โŒ Disinformation โ€“ False information spread intentionally to mislead.
โš ๏ธ Fake News โ€“ Made-up stories designed to look real, often to manipulate public opinion or cause panic.

๐Ÿ’ก Hereโ€™s what YOU can do:
๐Ÿ”น Think before you share.
๐Ÿ”น Verify with credible sources.
๐Ÿ”น Ask: Is it true? Who benefits? Who might it hurt?

๐Ÿ“ข Join us in building an informed, inclusive and united Ghana.
Together, we can fight the spread of fake news โ€” and make truth go viral!

๐Ÿงน SANITATION IS EVERYONEโ€™S BUSINESS!
Itโ€™s not just about cleaning today โ€” itโ€™s about planning for a cleaner tomorrow.

At Voice Center for Inclusive Communities, we are calling on Municipal and District Assemblies to adopt comprehensive sanitation plans โ€” and on communities to play their part in keeping our environment clean, safe, and healthy.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ What Should a Good Sanitation Plan Include?

โœ… Regular and timely waste collection in homes, markets, schools
โœ… Designated waste transfer stations and final disposal sites
โœ… Monitoring of private waste contractors for performance
โœ… Public toilets, drains, and handwashing stations in all communities
โœ… Continuous education and enforcement on hygiene practices

๐Ÿง๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ What Can the Community Do?

๐Ÿ”ธ Avoid dumping refuse in drains, open spaces, or rivers
๐Ÿ”ธ Separate plastic, organic, and hazardous waste where possible
๐Ÿ”ธ Report missed or delayed waste pickups to the Assembly
๐Ÿ”ธ Support monthly clean-up exercises and sanitation campaigns
๐Ÿ”ธ Teach children and youth about the importance of hygiene and waste management

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Clean Environment = Healthy Lives

Sanitation is about health, dignity, and development.
Letโ€™s demand proper services AND commit to better habits.

๐Ÿ“ข A clean Ghana starts with a clean street. A clean street starts with YOU.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ BEFORE YOU BUILD, GET A PERMIT!
A building permit is not just paperwork โ€” itโ€™s protection for your life, your property, and your community.

At Voice Center for Inclusive Communities, we are educating communities on why obtaining a building permit from the Municipal or District Assembly is a crucial step in safe and lawful development.

๐Ÿ  What Is a Building Permit?

A building permit is an official approval from the Assembly that your proposed structure meets safety, environmental, and planning standards. It ensures your building is safe, legal, and in the right place.

โœ… Why Itโ€™s Important:

Prevents collapsing buildings and unsafe structures

Ensures access to roads, drainage, water, and electricity

Reduces future conflicts over land use

Helps the Assembly plan better for schools, clinics, and infrastructure

Makes your property easier to register, sell, or develop further

๐Ÿ“ข What Can You Do?

๐Ÿ”ธ Always apply for a permit before building โ€” even for small projects
๐Ÿ”ธ Engage a certified architect or planner to help with your application
๐Ÿ”ธ Report unapproved buildings that pose risks to the community
๐Ÿ”ธ Encourage neighbors to follow proper procedures
๐Ÿ”ธ Demand fair, transparent, and timely permit processes from your Assembly

๐Ÿ’ฌ Development is not just about building โ€” itโ€™s about building right.
Permits protect people, property, and the future.

WHO CARES FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE?
Your Municipal Assembly does โ€” through its Social Welfare and Community Development Unit.
But only when it is strengthened, supported, and well-resourced.

At Voice Center for Inclusive Communities, we advocate for stronger social welfare systems at the local level to protect the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized in our communities.

๐ŸŒ What Does the Social Welfare Unit Do?

Supports orphans, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and victims of abuse

Facilitates livelihood support programs for struggling families

Leads community counselling, child protection, and family welfare services

Coordinates LEAP and other social protection programs

Helps resolve domestic conflicts and community disputes

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Why Strengthening It Matters:

โœ… Promotes equity and justice in community development
โœ… Helps reduce poverty, neglect, and social exclusion
โœ… Improves mental health, youth guidance, and family support
โœ… Builds a more resilient and compassionate community

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ What Can Communities Do?

๐Ÿ”ธ Refer cases of abuse, neglect, or hardship to the Welfare office
๐Ÿ”ธ Participate in public education programs they organize
๐Ÿ”ธ Support calls for more funding, staffing, and logistics for the unit
๐Ÿ”ธ Hold Assemblies accountable for effective social protection delivery
๐Ÿ”ธ Encourage youth to volunteer or intern in social services

๐Ÿ“ข Strong communities are not just built with roads โ€”
They are built when no one is left behind.
