Applications for AFRIKA KOMMT is now open! AFRIKA KOMMT is a fellowship programme that aims at bringing together highly qualified young professionals from Sub-Saharan Africa with at least 2-5 years’ work experience and leading German companies. The German companies get to benefit from the expertise, local network, and unique African perspective of the young professionals. It provides an unparalleled opportunity to young visionary leaders for a one-year career and life experience.

This programme is for young African professionals who are looking forward to expanding the horizons of their skills, knowledge and experience and are not reluctant to step out of their comfort zone.

Benefits
• It offers a one year stay for the African professionals in Germany during which the fellows actively work in their partner companies where they are trained and mentored. The learning experience is augmented by other components such a language courses, trainings, and networking events organized by the GIZ.
• Fellows will be taken through German language and cultural integration courses to prepare them for their stay.
• The fellows also get an opportunity to visit cultural heritage sites within Germany.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Be a Citizen of any African country
• Have a University degree in a relevant subject
• Postgraduate degree (e.g. MBA) is an advantage
• Have two to five years work experience
• Have excellent English language skills
• Basic knowledge of the German language is an advantage
• Not be older than 35 years at the time of application
