We fuel this
development using classes taught by Keno Dance Ensemble, which give students an opportunity to learn about the cultural beliefs and values embedded in traditional dance and music, while also providing students daily opportunities to enhance their intercultural skills. In the spirit of reciprocity a core value in Ghanaian society and a founding principle of Keno Foundation, students will utilize their own knowledge and skills to develop and implement projects that benefit the community of Amasaman and its environs. Our goal is for students to complete the program with increased global awareness, commitment to personal growth, sense of responsibility to community, and the skills to work and live cooperatively in a diverse society. Our community development projects are continuing to evolve as we work to further our understanding of Amasaman and her children. The Keno Foundation endeavors to promotes a productive dialogue between the organization, the foundation kids of Amasaman and its environs, and our international volunteers concerning the serious issues the kids in the communities are facing. It is our hope that through this collaboration and research, we will be able to form effective community projects for kids based on local initiatives.
