INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2026 | NANS GHANA 🇬🇭🇳🇬

Today, we join young people across the globe in commemorating International Youth Day, a celebration of the energy, creativity, resilience, and potential of young people to shape a better future.

As NANS Ghana, we recognize that the youth are not merely leaders of tomorrow—we are partners and leaders of today. Our voices, ideas, skills, and actions are essential to building stronger communities, institutions, and nations.

This day reminds us of our responsibility to promote education, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, inclusion, and meaningful opportunities for young people, particularly Nigerian students and youths in Ghana.

Let us continue to learn, connect, build, and use our talents to create positive change wherever we find ourselves.

The future is youth-driven. The future is ours to build.

NANS GHANA PRESIDENT ATTENDS INAUGURATION OF NEW NANS NATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN ABUJA

The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ghana Chapter, attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected National Executive Council of NANS, held at the NAF Conference Centre, Jahi, Abuja.

The ceremony officially ushered in the administration of Comrade Babatunde Akinteye as the National President of NANS, alongside other members of the newly inaugurated National Executive Council. The event brought together student leaders, stakeholders, and distinguished guests from across Nigeria and the diaspora to celebrate the beginning of a new era of leadership.

The presence of the NANS Ghana President underscored the chapter's unwavering commitment to supporting the national body and fostering stronger collaboration in advancing the welfare and interests of Nigerian students both at home and abroad.

NANS Ghana congratulates Comrade Babatunde Akinteye and his executive team on their inauguration and wishes them a successful tenure filled with purposeful leadership, unity, and impactful service to Nigerian students nationwide.

NANS Ghana Leadership Meets with KNUST Senior Assistant Registrar on NYSC Challenges

The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ghana Chapter, held a strategic meeting with Mrs. Theodora Oduro, Senior Assistant Registrar of KNUST, to discuss the challenges Nigerian students face when processing their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) participation after graduating from Ghanaian universities.

The discussions focused on issues such as delays in the verification and authentication of academic records, documentation challenges, communication gaps between institutions and relevant authorities, and the difficulties students encounter in meeting NYSC deadlines.

To address these concerns, NANS Ghana proposed stronger collaboration between Ghanaian universities and Nigerian agencies, the establishment of a dedicated support system for NYSC-related documentation, increased sensitization of final-year students on NYSC requirements, and the digitization of verification processes to reduce delays and improve efficiency.

Mrs. Theodora Oduro commended NANS Ghana for its proactive engagement and expressed support for initiatives aimed at improving the experience of Nigerian graduates. Both parties agreed on the importance of continued collaboration to ensure a smoother and more efficient transition for Nigerian students seeking to undertake their national service in Nigeria.

NANS Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the welfare of Nigerian students and working with relevant stakeholders to eliminate barriers affecting their NYSC participation.
