Thank you to everyone who donated toward today’s outreach, it was a success. Although we were unable to serve all the beneficiaries, we assured them that they will be included in our January donation.
We are truly humbled.
As promised, we did not take any visuals of today’s donation. While, as an NGO, we usually need documentation to attract future sponsorship, this time we intentionally chose to carry out the activity off camera.

Join us tomorrow morning 10 am as we donate raw food stuffs to single mothers in need. At kokrobite Pentecost.
We are giving each beneficiary the following

5. yam. (5 tubers)
6. pure water (5 bags)

The above list, is for each beneficiary.
We are donating to 326 single mothers in need.

EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE IN KOKROBITE

Over the past 1 year of staying in Kokrobite, I have observed some challenges among the youth, particularly women and girls. Many lack the motivation to embrace opportunities for self development, especially in skills training. This has been a key reason why previous organizations working in the community faced difficulties, as the mindset of the youth wasn't prepared for such initiatives.

We are determined to address this gap and avoid the mistakes of the past. Our approach is to first tackle the mindset issue through a Transformation Summit on 28tu February 2026. This summit will focus on inspiring and empowering the women and girls in the community. Following the summit, we will organize a three day workshop, which will allow us to understand each participant's area of interest or specialty.

After the workshop, we will launch our skills training program, which will offer both short term and long term courses. These will include areas such as cake and pastries making, hairdressing, fashion designing, interior decoration, and more. To ensure sustainability, we will also provide start up capital to participants after their training to help them launch their businesses successfully.

UPCOMING ACTIVITY:
As part of our ongoing efforts to engage the community, this 26th December 2025, we will be donating essential items to single mothers in Kokrobite. This is our way of showing support and building trust within the community.

We are seeking assistance in any form funding, materials, or partnership to help make this vision a reality. Together, we can empower the youth of Kokrobite, especially women and girls, to create a brighter and self reliant future.

Yesterday, admission, uniforms, and some basic needs were covered for the two children of the lady in this picture so they can start school next week.

She often comes alone to the seaside at Kokrobite. One day, after a conversation, it became clear she was depressed. When asked if she would like to learn a skill, she agreed. She is now being trained for free, but life remains very hard for her.

Because of the children, she struggles to focus fully during training. Even when clients are being attended to, the kids make it difficult for her to concentrate. The only time she manages is when someone else holds the children, which isn’t often.

At the moment, Marigold Hope Foundation is struggling and unable to support her. The children’s admission has already been sorted out, but much more is needed. Their school fees are GHS 400 each (total 800 GHS), and their daily feeding fee is GHS 20 for both children (10 GHS each).

Their living situation is also difficult. Their rent is due, and the landlord is asking them to leave. A single room with a porch (toilet and bath outside) has been found for GHS 200 per month. For two years it’s GHS 4,800, but the landlord is willing to accept one year upfront, GHS 2,400.

We are therefore soliciting support on her behalf. Any help will go a long way in easing her burden.

WHAT SHE NEEDS RIGHT NOW:

Someone to cover the children’s daily feeding (GHS 20 / $1.66 per day)

GHS 800 for school fees ($71.72)

School shoes and bags for a 4-year-old and a 1½-year-old (used ones are welcome)

Pampers, school essentials, and other basic needs

Support for rent (GHS 2,400 for one year / $199.20)

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. ❤️

Happy Birthday to Janice, our incredible French translator at Marigold Hope Foundation! Through every high and low, God has truly been good to us. We've had our disagreements, shared our laughter, shed tears, and enjoyed moments of pure joy. No matter what, we always brush it off and keep moving forward together. Today, I wish you nothing but pure happiness and fulfillment for the rest of your life, my dear.
