The Muslim World League condemns the continued Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Makkah:

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the continued incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli forces, as well as the raising of the Israeli flag within its courtyards.

In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced these provocative practices that inflame the sentiments of Muslims around the world, as well as the repeated Israeli violations of the historical and legal status quo in occupied Jerusalem and of all relevant laws and resolutions. He stressed that such actions undermine peace efforts and threaten security and stability in the region and beyond.

His Excellency further emphasized the urgent need for the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities by taking immediate action to halt these violations. He also highly commended the joint statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Türkiye, aimed at confronting all Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territory. He praised their steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people, their commitment to protecting Islamic holy sites, and their unwavering support for the Palestinians’ legitimate and inalienable national rights, foremost among them their right to establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
