AFRI-GOLD IMPACT

AFRI-GOLD IMPACT The AFRI-GOLD IMPACT seeks to Re-Orient and Empower Marginalized African Youth in building a Healthy Youth Capacity for Africa's Socio-Economic Development

The Afri-Gold Impact organization was formed in September 2014 with the purpose of acquiring license to operate extensively as a Non-Governmental Organisation to be headquartered in Ghana, West Africa, and its missions extended to all parts of the continent in the long run. The interest of the Afri-Gold Impact is to operate as a renowned re-orientation and empowerment organization for the marginal

ized youth of Africa, so as to build a development oriented youth capacity which is a requirement for the Socio-Economic growth of the continent. Africa is the world's second largest, second most-populous, and the world´s poorest inhabited continent. In September 2013, the "African Youth, Innovation and the Changing Society" established that 50% of Africans were estimated to be 19 years old or younger, presenting Africa as the world's youngest region among all the other continents. By this, Africa can boast of the most youthful and efficient human resource which could be employed locally into effective Trade, Industry and Agricultural activities to exonerate the continent from poverty and the infamous ´´third world´´ categorization. There is a unique opportunity to help transform an entire generation through the right long-term investments in education, health care, economic activities and positive development-centered orientation. Unfortunately, the greater part of the entire human populace of Africa has been systematically blocked from various rights, opportunities and resources due to their little or insufficient formal education. The focus on Education in Africa has been emphatically limited to formal/classroom education, indirectly marginalizing all other equally vibrant and dynamic youth who could not trail the paths of formal education. The direct effect of this marginalization is the rise in complexities resulting from low self-esteem, under-exploitation of resources and various levels of aggression. Other typically marginalized youth in Africa include youth with disabilities, ex-convicts, orphans, and youth who have been ostracized by their own families due to adverse situations of poverty, teenage pregnancies, as well as cultural and religious nonconformities. Most of these youth end up in streetism, and engage in various forms of social vices. Others are exposed to inhumane conditions of work and various forms of abuses. The direct effect of marginalization has convinced most of the abled African youth within this category to believe that transferrable lives could only be achieved feasibly in the Western worlds, thereby, contributing to their drastic dependence on the Western countries, their concepts and philosophies. It is in the principal mission of Afri-Gold Impact to empower these youth, who are at risk of being socially and economically exploited, to equip them with transferrable lives through our structured Outreach, Activism, Advocacy and Implementation Programmes to build a healthy and positive youth capacity for Africa’s development.
