Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"Allah says: 'Fasting is for Me, and I will reward it.'"
— Sahih Muslim

As we reach the 9th day of this blessed month, we are drawing near to the end of the Days of Mercy. This Hadith Qudsi reveals the profound and intimate nature of our fast. While other acts of worship can be seen by people, fasting is a secret between the believer and their Creator. Allah (SWT) singles out fasting as being exclusively for Him, promising a reward that is beyond measure and known only to Him.
