Hier bin ich. Contemporary German-Language Poetry.

A journey through twelve voices of contemporary German-language poetry: from modern classics to new perspectives, from playful haikus to reflections on war, technology, and the future.

Developed by the Goethe-Institut and Lyrik Kabinett Munich, with visual interpretations by renowned designer Anette Lenz.

How do the visual arts and written words resurrect buried histories to bring forth tomorrow’s possibilities? Nkwaye Ansah and Dela Anyah will discuss memory, medium, and imagination and explore how contemporary African artists dig into overlooked narratives, give form to quieted voices, and construct new, visionary worlds.

This discussion will be preceded by a performance titled: Assembly: Bonsa Origins, produced by Foundspace Productions.

Goethe-Institut Ghana is happy to showcase the works of Aku Addy at our Premisis. join us for the Exhibition opening and talk on the 13th of October at 6:30pm.

Stories From Accra is a survey built from the artist's sustained engagement with Accra as both subject and site; the city not as a fixed story but a carousel of patterns. Some immediately legible, others requiring closer attention.

Aku Addy is a Creative Director and Cultural Architect whose work sits at the intersection of culture, storytelling, and design. With close to 14 years of experience in copywriting, storytelling and brand strategy, delivering campaigns for local and international brands, her work is grounded in social listening, observation, and a deep understanding of audience behaviour.

Sustainability, Creativity & Conscious Consumption?

Fashioning Futures brings together designers, artisans, entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, policymakers and consumers to explore how creativity responds to some of today's most pressing social and environmental challenges. Through a vibrant Makers Market, conversations and shared experiences, the event showcases innovative practices emerging from Ghana's fashion and creative sectors.

At the same time, Fashioning Futures invites us to ask difficult but important questions: What does sustainability really mean? Can creative responses to waste and overconsumption become part of broader change? And how might we rethink the ways we produce, consume and value resources? By creating space for both celebration and critical reflection, the event aims to spark dialogue on the possibilities, tensions and futures of design fashion, consumption and sustainability.

International artists living and working outside Germany may apply for the International Coproduction Fund together with their artistic partners in Germany.
