The Rotaract Club of UPSA, in partnership with Stepping Up and Out Foundation Ministries, organised a community outreach programme at Umar Bun Hatab Islamic Basic School on Friday, May 22, 2026. The initiative combined two flagship projects, “She Speaks Red” and the Donation of Dustbins, aimed at promoting menstrual health awareness and environmental cleanliness among students.

Through the She Speaks Red campaign, the team educated young girls on menstrual hygiene management and worked to break the stigma surrounding menstruation. As part of the initiative, reusable sanitary pads were donated to support the girls in managing their menstrual health with dignity and confidence. Organisers noted that the project seeks to empower young girls through education while encouraging open and supportive conversations about reproductive health.

In addition, the outreach team donated dustbins to the school to encourage proper waste disposal and help maintain a clean and healthy learning environment. Members of the Rotaract Club and representatives of the foundation interacted with students and staff during the programme, highlighting the importance of personal hygiene and environmental responsibility. The event reflects the organisations’ continued commitment to community service and sustainable social impact.
