More Than Building: Building Together

Beyond the hands-on work, the experience in Sambu, Mion District, brought volunteers and community members together through teamwork, friendship, cultural exchange and shared moments.

As they worked together, they also had the opportunity to connect, learn from one another and create lasting memories.

We are grateful to **World Servant Netherlands** for their support and commitment, and to the Sambu community for welcoming the volunteers and being part of this meaningful experience.

Together, we serve. Together, we build. Together, we make a difference. 🇬🇭🇳🇱🤝🏾

Building Together: Highlights from the Sambu Project

We’re taking a look back at the work of the first group of 33 World Servant Netherlands volunteers who joined us in Ghana this year. During their two-week stay, the team worked alongside members of the Sambu community in the Mion District of the Northern Region to support the construction of a three-unit semi-detached teacher’s quarters. From carrying blocks and moving materials to preparing and laying blocks, the volunteers got hands-on with the construction work, contributing their time and energy towards improving educational facilities for the Sambu community.

While construction continues beyond the volunteers’ stay, their contribution has helped move the project another step forward, laying the foundation for a facility that will support teachers serving the community.

We are grateful to everyone who participated and to the community for collaborating with the team throughout the project. Together, these efforts are contributing to a stronger future for the Sambu community and reflect what is possible when we come together with a shared purpose of Transforming Lives Together.

A few moments from the project.
