As we step into a new chapter as a member driven organisation, Eric joins us with over 10 years of experience in education leadership and business development, and a track record of real impact, including leading a campaign that built 8 libraries and reached 24,000 learners across Ghana

A few fun facts about Eric: he's a sports enthusiast (track and field, boxing ), loves a good night walk to reflect and recharge , and enjoys long tennis matches on the side

"This is a shared journey, and I look forward to building it together with our members, partners, and team." โ€” Eric

National ICT Week exists to spark conversations that turn into policy, and policy that turns into real digital opportunity for Ghanaians. But conversations alone don't keep a computer lab running for ten years. Sustainability does.

afiDE Ghana's network of member schools is proof that sustainable digital education isn't just a conference hall ambition. It is already happening in classrooms from Accra to Tamale, built on leadership, collaboration, and local ownership, the same principles NITA has championed as it pushes Ghana toward becoming Africa's digital trade hub.

Twenty school leaders came together for eight weeks of training with The Leadership Academy, a programme delivered by afiDE Ghana and GSET. The journey ended with a beautiful closing ceremony at Nyansa Square in East Legon, filled with presentations, testimonials, mentor tributes and certificate awards.

Professor George Oduro, our Patron, praised the programme for filling a gap in education, since most programmes are built for students and teachers, while this one is built for the school leaders who guide them. He shared that Cohort Two registration is coming soon, and that afiDE Ghana is ready to welcome more schools into its community of sustainable digital education.

To every school leader, mentor, facilitator and partner who made this cohort a success, thank you. This is only the beginning.
