To mark our Sickle Cell Awareness Month,Bolton Beauty in Pain Foundation visited our Muslim sisters in Zambrama line community to create awareness for Sickle Cell Disease.
Our aim is to educate more people about the disease so they can guide their generation to make the right decision when choosing a partner and also reduce the number of sickle cell kids in Ghana

During one of our awareness campaign this beautiful woman answered almost all my questions so I was curious to know more about her and find out how she has so much knowledge about sickle cell.
I was amazed when she told me she has two children living with sickle cell disease and I immediately figured out why she has a broad knowledge about sickle cell.
I asked how they are and she told me they are in the university making good grades amidst managing the pain and crisis.
She didn’t give up on her children,she has been their strength,protector and their anchor.
Despite the stereotype she never doubted her kids ability to make her proud in future.
This are the kind of parents every warrior will love to have.I’m glad I meet her and proud of her resilience and unshakable love for her children.Sicklecell disease is not a sentence,it’s a chronic disease when managed well,you can live a fulfilling life.

I never taught I could manage a non governmental organization(NGO) that supports sickle cell kids In Ghana.For the past four years myself and my team have been supporting these beautiful kids with our little resources to put a smile on their faces,doing this alone without sponsorship hasn’t been easy but our passion to help these kids and encourage other sickle cell patients to live a fulfilling life will not allow us give up so easily.
These kids are intelligent and needs to survive the pain,hospital admission and depression to become a better version of themselves.

Bolton Beauty In Pain Foundation has paid hospital/surgery bills,donated medications,created awareness at churches and hospitals,supported patients through counseling and given hope to parents and caregivers of sickle cell kids and also creating awareness for individuals to check and know their genotype before having a child.We are gradually building a community of Sicklecell patients/warriors who will look out for each other and be each other’s support system.
Bolton Beauty In Pain Foundation Foundation is here to stay to redefine strength and inspire hope.
