Reach for Change Ghana We support social entrepreneurs to build social startups that improve the lives of children & youth

Reach for Change Ghana is a part of the regional non-profit organization, Reach for Change Africa. Reach for Change Africa supports social entrepreneurs who impact the lives of children, youth and women. We partner with corporations, NGOs and other impact investors to run innovation competitions to find and develop strong social entrepreneurs who tackle some of society's most pressing issues. Our

accelerators and incubators help them build sustainable social enterprises that scale to create widespread social impact and systemic change. Through outreach campaigns and other activities, Reach for Change Africa builds public awareness of and advocates for social entrepreneurship as a primary tool for Africa's development.

After months of virtual sessions, learning, brainstorming, and building together under the Empowering Sustainable Entrepreneurship Programme (ESEA), we finally came together in person for our first-ever ESEA Camp.

It was an exciting moment for our founders as they moved from online engagement into a shared physical space to connect, build trust and strengthen the relationships that have been growing over the past months. The camp created space for meaningful conversations, collaboration, reflection and genuine community building beyond the programme structure.

We are deeply grateful to Village Capital and Norad for their support and commitment to strengthening entrepreneurs and advancing sustainable enterprise development through ESEA.

Here’s to stronger connections, deeper collaboration, and continued impact.

Reach for Change Ghana participated in the 4th Ghana Impact Investment Summit at Kempinski Hotel Accra under the theme “Scaling Impact Mobilising Local Capital for Locally Led Change.”

The summit brought together key stakeholders to explore how to unlock domestic capital to support MSMEs, with focus on alternative investments, stronger pipelines, and better access to finance for women-led businesses.

We remain committed to supporting social entrepreneurs and strengthening Ghana’s impact investment ecosystem.

We had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the Swedish Embassy for a courtesy visit to our office.

The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Swedish engagement in Ghana and followed earlier interactions during the Ambassador’s recent visit. It was a great opportunity to formally introduce our work at Reach for Change, share insights from our programmes, and explore areas of mutual interest.

We were glad to host Fredrik Ahsberg, Head of Political and Trade Affairs, and Jasmine Osueke, Political and Trade Officer, who oversee Sweden’s engagement across Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon. The discussions were insightful and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in driving impact.

We look forward to continued engagement and to further showcasing the work being done to support social entrepreneurs and innovators in Ghana.

We had the pleasure of attending the Swedish CEO Meeting in Accra, convened by the Embassy and Consulate of Sweden.

The meeting brought together leaders from the Swedish business community for insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and strengthened collaboration across sectors. It was also a great opportunity to engage with H.E. Anna Westerholm, Swedish Ambassador-Designate to Ghana, and exchange perspectives on key priorities and opportunities for Swedish businesses in Ghana.

Thank you to the Embassy and Consulate of Sweden for hosting and for creating such a valuable platform for dialogue. Embassy of Sweden in Abuja

🌍 Congratulations to the Selected Entrepreneurs! Welcome to the Empowering Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Africa 2025 Program.

These ambitious startups have been selected to participate in Empowering Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Africa 2025, an investment-readiness program for climate-focused startups, co-delivered with Village Capital and in partnership with Norad - Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation.

💫 Why is this program so important?
Over the past decade, Ghana has made significant progress in their economic development, yet future growth is threatened by climate change. Temperatures are rising, and very hot days have increased by over 13%, affecting critical sectors like food security and energy sustainability. These challenges put over 1 million Ghanaians at risk of falling below the international poverty line by 2050.

This program is providing startups with investment-readiness support, mentorship, and cross-sector collaboration to scale their solutions. The 2025 cohort includes startups tackling solutions in:
- Blue Economy
- Climate Adaptation
- Food Security
- Renewable Energy

💡Together, these entrepreneurs are shaping a more sustainable, resilient future for Ghana and beyond.

Welcome Lilipearl

Welcome to the Reach for Change family, Lilipearl👋Let’s introduce our new team member with a short interview and some fun facts, let’s go!

📍 Based in: Accra, Ghana
💼 Role: Projects Officer
✨Fun fact: I run a TikTok page where I share opportunities with young people. And I’ve also partnered with a fashion house and a catering school to provide tuition-free training programs for young women for economic empowerment.

-Your biggest passion outside work?
🎶Singing! I love to sing.

-Something that always makes you smile at work?
💖The aura in the atmosphere, it’s so welcoming. And the pink map on the wall! It’s so aesthetically pleasing. Plus, the bonding moments through conversations or shared snacks and meals are truly heartwarming.

-Your favorite part about communicating social impact?
🌍My favorite part is the opportunity to translate impact into real, relatable stories that people can connect with. Numbers and reports are good, but when you show how a project changes a life, a family, or a community, that’s when people truly feel the essence of the work being done. I love finding those human-centered moments that inspire others to care, engage, and take action.
