ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE
AL-Hayaat Foundation is a non-religious, non-ethnic, non-political organization founded and incorporated under the companies code, 1963 (Act 179) as a Non-Governmental Organisation situated in the Greater Accra region and Northern Region of Ghana in West Africa. The formation of AL-Hayaat Foundation was motivated by the prevailing imbalances in health development policy and
initiatives in Africa. Health development formulation and implementation remain a major challenge in developing countries. Particularly, in the areas of creating and sustaining the awareness of the benefits of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, structures in developing countries are non-functional. High poverty rates due to illiteracy, lack of basic healthy living skills, have created fertile grounds for deteriorating health in these places. We at AL-Hayaat are aware of the existence of unlimited opportunities to contribute to deal with the adverse impact of poor health on economic growth, human dignity and wellbeing. We are convinced that the persistent generating of health development strategies are core to economic development, and sustaining the awareness of the benefits of maintaining a healthy lifestyle is an integral part of this process. Therefore, the outreach of awareness programs will go a long way in helping the less privileged with their health needs. Consequently, as believers in equal equity, we aspire today to play an active role in this process.
