Dr. Evans Mireku the Chairperson of the European Diplomatic Organization -EUDO, who also doubled as the Special Envoy for Public Health and Disease Control, represented Ghana at the Commonwealth Youth Development Summit 2026 in the United Kingdom

The World Diplomatic Organization (WDO) and the European Diplomatic Organization (EUDO) proudly acknowledged the participation of Dr. Evans Mireku, Continental Chairperson of EUDO and Senior Diplomat, in the recently concluded Commonwealth Youth Development Summit 2026, held in the United Kingdom. Dr. Mireku attended the summit in his national capacity, representing the Republic of Ghana, alongside youth leaders, policymakers, and development partners from across the Commonwealth.

The three‑day summit brought together emerging leaders with a shared commitment to transforming ideas into meaningful action. Delegates engaged in high‑level discussions centred on Leadership, Economic Resilience, Environmental Resilience, and Democratic Resilience, with a unified understanding that sustainable development requires young people to actively shape the systems that influence their lives.

Dr. Mireku described the summit as a powerful platform that reaffirmed the role of young people not only as future leaders but as leaders of today. He highlighted the honest and constructive conversations that took place regarding the barriers that continue to limit youth participation in leadership spaces, and the urgent need to create genuine opportunities for young people to lead at national, regional, and global levels.

One of the most engaging aspects of the summit was the dialogue on economic resilience, which explored youth entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and improved access to finance. Delegates also participated in collaborative working sessions that contributed to a policy document set to be presented at the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

Dr. Mireku emphasized that what resonated most throughout the summit was the collective determination to move beyond dialogue and focus on implementation, ensuring that youth voices translate into tangible outcomes and lasting impact. He also expressed appreciation for the meaningful connections made with fellow delegates and the positive, collaborative atmosphere that defined the event.

In his reflections, Dr. Mireku extended heartfelt gratitude to the Commonwealth Youth Council, particularly its Chairperson, Joshua K. Opey, and the entire organizing team for creating a dynamic and impactful space for youth engagement, policy dialogue, and leadership development.

He concluded his participation with renewed inspiration, strengthened by the ideas exchanged and the shared commitment among young leaders across the Commonwealth to build solutions that address both present and future challenges. “The work continues,” he affirmed, underscoring his dedication to advancing youth development, resilience, and leadership across Ghana, Europe, and the wider Commonwealth.

Hon. Amb. Ngoma is one among the nominated candidate for the Chairpersonship position for the the African Diplomatic Organization -ADO Chairpersonship position. She is one of the vibrant African youth and social activists and has been nominated for the Chairpersonship position. Among the other candidates on the long list is Hon. Charlene Ruto, the daughter of the President of Kenya, who is also a highly influential youth activist. The two candidates have now been formally shortlisted for the finalist Race of the Chairpersonship Position awaiting the WDO Headquarters' confirmation and approval between which country among Zambia and Kenya takes the Chairpersonship position to lead the 54 Member states of African Diplomatic Organization -ADO

The Chairpersonship selection process for the African Diplomatic Organization (ADO), the continental branch of the World Diplomatic Organization (WDO), has progressed into its decisive stage following the nomination and shortlisting of leading candidates. Among the nominees is Hon. Amb. Ruth Ngoma, a respected youth advocate known for her dynamic engagement in African development, women’s leadership initiatives, and youth empowerment programs. Her nomination reflects her growing influence within continental advocacy networks and her demonstrated commitment to strengthening Africa’s diplomatic and developmental agenda.

Also shortlisted is Hon. Charlene Ruto, widely recognized for her active involvement in youth‑centered initiatives, social development programs, and community empowerment activities. She has gained visibility across the continent for her work in mobilizing young people, promoting innovation‑driven projects, and supporting national and regional development efforts. Her engagements have positioned her as a prominent youth figure with a strong presence in public service initiatives, humanitarian outreach, and cross‑sector collaborations. Her nomination reflects her increasing role in youth leadership spaces and her contributions to social impact programs across Africa.

Both candidates bring distinct strengths, visibility, and experience to the Chairpersonship race. Their nominations demonstrate the high standards expected of leadership within ADO and the importance of selecting a Chairperson capable of guiding continental diplomatic coordination, strengthening institutional partnerships, and advancing WDO’s mission of peace, cooperation, and development across Africa. The Chairpersonship is a significant continental leadership role, requiring a candidate who embodies professionalism, diplomatic integrity, and a deep understanding of Africa’s evolving diplomatic landscape.

WDO Headquarters is currently finalizing the evaluation and review procedures associated with the nominations. This includes assessing leadership capacity, diplomatic readiness, continental engagement, and alignment with the strategic objectives of ADO and WDO. Once the internal review is complete, WDO Headquarters will formally announce the final result and communicate the decision to all continental and national offices.

This process reflects WDO’s commitment to transparency, merit‑based leadership, and the strengthening of continental diplomatic structures. The final announcement will be issued through official WDO communication channels upon completion of the evaluation.

The Diplomatic Identification Cards issued by the World Diplomatic Organization are high‑security credentials designed exclusively for the official use of WDO and its Continental Branches, including the African Diplomatic Organization (ADO), the European Diplomatic Organization (EUDO), the American Diplomatic Organization (AMDO), the Oceania Diplomatic Organization (OCDO), and the Middle East Diplomatic Organization (MEDO).

These cards incorporate advanced biometric and digital authentication systems that allow the organization to verify the identity, mandate, and active status of each accredited diplomat. The biometric features embedded within the card enable secure access to WDO’s verification platforms, confirm the legitimacy of the cardholder, and ensure that only duly appointed representatives can exercise the privileges and responsibilities associated with their positions.

Each card contains multiple layers of security, including encrypted biometric data, machine‑readable zones, holographic seals, micro‑text, ultraviolet elements, and a digitally traceable identification code linked directly to the WDO Headquarters database. These features are designed to prevent duplication, counterfeiting, manipulation, or unauthorized reproduction.

The biometric components serve different functions across the continental branches: for ADO, they authenticate regional diplomatic engagements and continental coordination; for EUDO, they support verification within European institutions and partner missions; for AMDO, they facilitate cross‑border diplomatic recognition across the Americas; for OCDO, they ensure secure identification within Oceania’s diplomatic networks; and for MEDO, they reinforce identity validation within Middle Eastern diplomatic and governmental frameworks. All features collectively ensure that the identity of each diplomat can be confirmed instantly and securely, regardless of their location.

These Diplomatic Identification Cards are the exclusive property of the World Diplomatic Organization and its recognized continental institutions. Any individual who manipulates, duplicates, alters, erases, counterfeits, or unlawfully possesses this card without being an officially appointed member of WDO or its continental branches is in direct violation of institutional and international regulations.

Such actions constitute a serious offense and shall be fully subject to the applicable laws and legal consequences within the relevant jurisdictions. Unauthorized use, impersonation, or misrepresentation of affiliation with WDO or any of its branches is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate investigation and enforcement measures.

The general public, all competent governments, diplomatic missions, institutions, organizations, companies, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders are strongly advised to verify the authenticity of any WDO Diplomatic Identification Card exclusively through the WDO Headquarters. Verification should always be conducted to confirm that the cardholder is an active member whose mandate has not expired, been revoked, or suspended. Any individual claiming affiliation with WDO or its continental branches without proper authorization, or presenting an expired, falsified, or invalid card, must be reported immediately to the WDO Headquarters for appropriate action.

This advisory is issued to ensure the integrity of WDO’s diplomatic system, protect the credibility of its representatives, and safeguard all institutions and partners from fraudulent claims or unauthorized diplomatic activity.
