We are convening a powerful lineup of thought leaders, journalists, educators, and digital advocates from reputable MIL advocacy institutions to unpack the role of media in shaping choices, culture, and lifestyles and ways to Combat Fake News in the Digital Age.

The Summit will feature active participation from representatives of 10 Senior High Schools across the region, alongside dignitaries from partner organizations committed to empowering the next generation with critical media and digital literacy skills.

Edem Kunkpe is a development communicator and media practitioner with over a decade of experience working across radio, television, social media, and project management spaces. She currently serves as a Project Associate at the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), where she supports regional media literacy and fact-checking initiatives across West Africa.

Her career spans roles such as social media supervisor at Class FM, TV presenter and producer at GN TV Ghana, and fact-checker under the Dubawa, Kwame Karikari Fact-Checking Fellowship . She has facilitated nationwide training sessions on misinformation, managed youth-targeted content strategies, and played a pivotal role in the development of communication materials that empower young audiences.

Armed with professional certifications in digital marketing, project management, and fact-checking, she is passionate about helping young people critically engage with media,and use digital tools responsibly. Her work reflects a deep commitment to media ethics,cross-cultural engagement and inclusive communication.
