Ahead of the global celebration of International Women’s Day, our team in Ghana took a moment on Thursday, 5th March, to celebrate the incredible women in our office.
In line with this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” which emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support, the event highlighted how generosity (whether through mentorship, encouragement or collaboration) creates more opportunities for women to thrive. When individuals, organizations and communities intentionally give to women, everyone gains.
The celebration brought the team together for a delightful dessert party where gifts were exchanged in appreciation of the vital role women play in strengthening our workplace culture and driving our collective success.
Prior to the event, each woman participated in a short interview, sharing which colleague she believed had the qualities to lead as a Country Director and why. This activity built anticipation as we prepared to celebrate one outstanding colleague as Woman of the Year.
The highlight of the afternoon was the recognition of outstanding women in the office, with special honors including Woman of the Year and Office Sweetheart, celebrating their impact, dedication and positive influence within the team.
Moments like these remind us that supporting and uplifting women is not just a one-day event, but a commitment we carry forward every day.
