On May 13-17, four members of our leadership team at Winpang Youth Initiative recently participated in the Developing Youth Ecopreneurs Conference (DYEC 2026) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology,Kumasi organized by Green Africa Youth Organization.
It was an incredible week of networking with global climate leaders, investors, and fellow changemakers. Attending sessions focused on community-level environmental solutions and sustainable green jobs has given our team fresh momentum.
The team returned inspired, equipped, and more committed than ever to fostering green innovations among the youth we mentor.
A big shoutout to the organizers for creating an invaluable "dealroom" for youth-led climate enterprises.

Bawku West Hosts Clean Air Campaign: A Call to Action for Environmental Sustainability.

The Upper East Regional edition of the National Clean Air and Just Transition Campaign was successfully hosted in the Bawku West District on 6th March at the Zebilla Primary School Park, during the Independence Day celebration grounds.

The campaign brought together about 50 enthusiastic youths, including students, teachers, and informal waste workers, who participated in the awareness event to highlight the importance of clean air and responsible waste management.

Leading the campaign were the Community Engagement Coordinator, Khadijah Azumah Braimah at Green Africa Youth Organization, and the CEO of Winpang Youth Initiative, Josiah Awinpang, who guided participants in advocating for environmental protection and climate responsibility.

Speaking to Zebs FM, Khadijah Azumah Braimah emphasized that clean air is non-negotiable and essential for healthy living. She called on the Bawku West District Assembly to rise to the occasion and provide a proper landfill site for the good people of Zebilla to address the growing waste management challenges in the area.

The campaign forms part of ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and ensure communities play an active role in protecting the air they breathe.
