Media Literacy Development Foundation Other projects of the foundation include the Ghana Media Club and the Junior Journalists and Communicators Club (J2C2).

A non-profit organisation empowering young people and communities with media and digital literacy skills to think critically, create responsibly, and engage meaningfully in society. Media Literacy Development Foundation is a non-profit organisation registered in Ghana to develop media literacy and entrepreneurial skills in young people from underserved communities. Our mission is to build an under

standing of the role of media in society, along with essential skills of inquiry, critical thinking, analysis, self-expression and creativity necessary for youth development and democratic inclusion. The foundation launched the Zongo Media project in 2019 to harness the power of Zongo youth through media literacy and entrepreneurial skills to enable them to generate and share their knowledge and experiences, participate in discourse and decision-making, and strengthen their communities.

We took Junior Journalists, Communicators and Civics Club - J2C2 to Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion Senior High School in Cape Coast and it was an honour to empower young learners with critical thinking and responsible communication skills.

Thanks to our trainers, facilitators and coordinators for making this a success. Ismail Akwei, Nabil Ahmed Rufai, Elorm Ahiale, Sakyi, Johnson, and Baffoe-Williams.

Thanks to Aggrey Memorial authorities and the patron of the Edtorial Board as well as the Writers, Drama and Debators Club for their commitment.

Media Literacy Development Foundation is hosting a Junior Journalists, Communicators and Civics Club (J2C2) workshop at Aggrey Memorial AME Zion SHS in Cape Coast this Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Students of the Aggrey Editorial Board will be taken through media and digital literacy to be able to question sources, spot bias and think critically before they share online.
