We’re enjoying skating — officially unofficially — at our new spot under the Palace Mall Overpass 🛼 What started as a simple session is slowly becoming a vision: turning this space into a real skatepark for the community.

We’re looking forward to engaging the right authorities to make this possible, and any help in connecting us to them would be greatly appreciated. Together, we can transform this space into something lasting for youth, sport, and community.

We came together to clean under the Palace Mall Overpass, reclaiming a shared public space in our ongoing quest to create a safe place to skate and build a hub for youth sports.
Through community action, service, and movement, we’re turning overlooked spaces into places of opportunity, connection, and growth. 🧹🛹

Monthly Updates — January 📌

🛼 Skating Community
We’ve continued hosting our free community skate sessions, creating safe and welcoming spaces for kids and young adults to skate and connect. This month, we also discovered another public location with great potential to grow a new skate community.

🌊 Skimboarding Updates
We officially launched our weekly skimboarding sessions in collaboration with Ananse Beach Resort. As part of building sustainability, we’re currently training 4 skimboarding instructors to support the growing community.

🤝 How to Support Our Cause
You can support our work by donating skate or skim equipment, becoming a monthly supporter (Patreon), or making a one-time donation via PayPal or bank transfer.

Send us a DM for more details and clarity — every bit of support helps us grow these communities.

On Sunday, 25th January 2026, the Skate and Serve team gathered under the Palace Mall Overpass with a simple but powerful mission: to clean, reclaim, and reimagine a public space. What is often overlooked became a place of purpose as we worked together to clear debris, create order, and make the area safer for skating and community activity.

This project was driven by the belief that clean spaces create safe spaces. By taking responsibility for the environment, we’re opening up opportunities for kids and young adults to skate, connect, and belong. Cleaning wasn’t just preparation—it was an act of service, signaling that these spaces matter and the people who use them matter too.

As the dust settled and the skating began, the overpass transformed into more than a spot—it became a community. Clean & Skate is about more than one day; it’s about the ongoing search for safer public spaces and the power of collective action to turn neglected areas into places of movement, mentorship, and hope.

We arrived at the shoreline as the Skate and Serve team with one clear purpose: to serve the beach and the community through action sports. In partnership with Ananse Beach Resort, we hosted a skimboarding demo that sparked curiosity and excitement, introducing many locals to the sport for the very first time. What started as a simple session quickly became a shared experience of learning, laughter, and discovery along the water’s edge.

Before the boards hit the waves, we came together to clean the beach. Side by side, our team, volunteers, and members of the community worked to restore the space, reminding ourselves that caring for the environment is at the heart of everything we do. A clean beach creates room for safe play, growth, and the future of beach sports.

By the end of the day, the beach felt different—lighter, cleaner, and more connected. Skimboarding became a bridge between service and sport, mentorship and fun. Together with Ananse Beach Resort, we’re building more than sessions; we’re shaping a vision for clean beaches, empowered youth, and thriving coastal communities through Skate and Serve.

We’ve officially resumed our free Sunday community skate sessions, and it feels good to be back. These sessions create a safe and welcoming space where kids and young adults can skate freely, learn new skills, and enjoy movement together.

Beyond skating, this is about mentorship, connection, and consistency. By showing up every Sunday, we provide structure, positive engagement, and a sense of belonging for young people in the community.

As we roll forward, our goal remains the same — to keep youth active, build strong skate communities, and use sport as a tool for growth and positive change. Everyone is welcome. Let’s keep moving together.

Our next project takes us under the Palace Mall Overpass in Accra 🇬🇭 — turning a shared public space into a clean, safe place to skate, play, and connect.
This is part of our ongoing quest for safe public play areas where kids and young adults can move freely, build community, and grow together through sport and positive engagement.
Clean the space. Skate with purpose. 🛼🛹

We’re calling on brands, companies, and partners who believe in youth, culture, and social impact to support this initiative through sponsorship and collaboration.
Together, we can transform public spaces and inspire the next generation.
