I was honored to attend the G20 Social Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I participated in Working Group 6, focusing on cultural diversity, recognition, and inclusion.
The summit, held from November 18-20, 2025, aimed to promote a just, inclusive, and equitable international order.
As a women's and child rights advocate and Nkligiwurche of the Yagbon Kingdom in Ghana, I contributed to consultation sessions on cultural diversity and economic inclusion and equalities of women.
The theme equality, solidarity and Sustainability resonated throughout the discussions, and I was impressed by the working group's dedication to advancing the summit's agenda.
I had valuable interactions with experts, dignitaries, and leaders, including South Africa's Vice President and Ministers, indigenous community leaders, and officials from the United Nations and African Union.
I granted interviews on building momentum for achieving the SDGs and Agenda 2063, emphasizing the importance of contextualized development plans.
I also engaged with officials from the African Union, G20 Interfaith Forum, and representatives from various countries, discussing cooperation and partnership opportunities.
I thank the South African Presidency for their hospitality and excellent organization .
I look forward to returning to South Africa soon.
