Today, on International Workers’ Day, we celebrate you — our dedicated domestic workers, the quiet pillars of many homes and families.

Your work goes beyond chores; you create safe spaces, nurture lives, and keep households running with dignity and care. Your resilience, commitment, and strength often go unseen, but they are deeply felt and truly invaluable.

We honour your contribution, respect your labour, and stand with you in the call for fair treatment, recognition, and decent working conditions.

You are not just workers, you are essential.

Happy International Workers' Day

At ADDAD Ghana, we firmly believe that domestic workers deserve more—more recognition, more protection, and more dignity. Domestic labour remains one of the most undervalued yet essential forces sustaining our nation’s economy, and it’s time this reality is fully acknowledged.

On 18th March 2026, we took a significant step toward strengthening our impact by organising an internal capacity-building training for our staff. This session focused on enhancing our skills in leadership and management, ensuring that we are better equipped to serve our constituents with efficiency, empathy, and professionalism.

Through this training, we deepened our understanding of the complex challenges faced by domestic workers and vulnerable groups, while also refining our internal systems to respond more effectively. Building strong leadership within our organisation is key to driving sustainable change and amplifying the voices of those we represent.

At ADDAD Ghana, strengthening our team means strengthening our advocacy. And when we are better, we serve better.
