This year, Supporting Villages launched a heartfelt Ramadan fundraising campaign with the aim of providing essential food items to underprivileged Muslim families, widows, isolated older individuals, and children living on the streets in Sefwi Pampramasi in the Western North of Ghana during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid. Despite facing challenges in meeting our fundraising goal, the unwavering support from the United Foundation for Global Development (UFGD) and generous individuals helped us procure vital food supplies including rice, sugar, cooking oil, spaghetti, canned tomatoes and other canned food including milo, milk, mackerel, sardine etc. These donations enabled us to extend a helping hand to selected needy families and individuals in four locations: Sefwi Pampramasi in the Western North, Bonya in the Eastern Region, Kasoa and parts Accra.
However, recognizing the shortfall in meeting our target, Supporting Villages partnered with the Road to Jannah Foundation, who also had surplus food items available for donation. Together, we redirected these resources to Rahmah Orphanage in Accra, ensuring that orphaned children in need received the nourishment and support they deserve. This collaborative effort embodies the spirit of unity and compassion, allowing us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing adversity.
A big thank you to all who supported our cause and helped us spread hope and kindness during this sacred time.
