Before this disappears in your feed, pause for a second.
Somewhere in Ghana, a child is excited because he/she passed the End of Term exams, and has been promoted to the next class.
But that excitement is laced with worry.
Not because they don't want to learn, but because they struggled this term. Their parents or guardians couldn't buy all the books they needed, and even those they managed to buy came late; several weeks after school resumed. They have outgrown their current school uniform which is looking old and worn-out now.
So their excitement is mixed with worry because, their patents and guardians may not be able to get them new exercise books, notebooks, school uniform, a bag, or even new shoes to start the coming academic year.
Many of us have been fortunate enough never to think twice about these things. But for many children, this stands in the way of accessing quality education.
Today we're launching Wear Smiles Project 3.0; the third edition of our back toschool donation initiative.
Whether it's a financial donation, pack of exercise books and notebooks, stationery, a new uniform, a school bag, or pair of shoes, your kindness can help a child begin the coming academic year with confidence and hope.
And if you're unable to donate for any reason, you can still make a difference by sharing this post. It might reach someone who can.
Join us in helping more children wear smiles in the 2026/2027 academic year. ❤️
