5 years ago today - July 24th, 2021 - HEAL Homecare Advocacy Foundation was born! πŸ’˜

Our Founder and ED, Natasha Akua Nimo, went on her first-ever door-to-door home visits in Ghana, meeting vulnerable persons with disabilities with limited access to resources.

Akua Nat has poured her heart into this organization.

It was truly grassroots - no office, no team, no budget.
Just one woman, one vision, visiting homes and listening to stories that needed to be heard.

From supporting caregivers generally to now focusing specifically on caregivers of children with CP + keeping young school girls in school with education & hygiene supplies - God has been faithful!

We are excited for more families to reach, more caregivers to empower, and more girls to keep in school. 🏫

5 years of impact, love, and advocacy, and so much more to come!

Despite facing challenges, we're proud to share that we reached 524 caregivers, women, and girls in Ghana. 🌱

This year, we were stretched thin!

Our boxes were empty, referrals increased, and wait times lengthened, yet we didn't give up. Funding priorities shifted, but your unwavering support didn't waver.

Whether it's volunteering with us, hosting a collection box, or spreading the word, think about how you show up for women and girls in your community.
