🇬🇭 KABAKA FOUNDATION CHARITY MONTH — SEPTEMBER 2026

Our Charity Month train made a memorable stop at the School for the Deaf, Akuapem Mampong, on Friday, 11th September 2026, for a Medical Outreach and Donation to the Deafblind students of the school.

During the event, the Headmaster appealed to Nana Owiredu Wadie I to put up a Massage Centre to support the training and care of the Deafblind students. Nana graciously accepted the request and cut the sod for construction to begin — with the facility expected to be completed and commissioned in September 2027.

A promise made. A promise that will be kept. 💙

On Friday, 4th September 2026, the Kabaka Foundation Ghana supported around 600 street hawkers at the McDan AstroTurf Park, Okponglo, Accra — the 4th edition of our Street Hawkers Support Programme, part of the 2026 September Kabaka Charity Month.

Beneficiaries from the Shiashie and Okponglo traffic light areas included school-going children, single mothers, widows and young persons who trade on our streets to earn a living. 💙

Our Chairman and Founder, Nana Owiredu Wadie I, marking his birthday month, presented food, aprons and cash support — and announced two new interventions:

🏪 Startup funding, registration and business training for ten beneficiaries
🎓 Scholarships for children on the street, through to tertiary level

Yesterday, as the world marked International Youth Day, Kabaka Foundation Ghana reaffirmed our commitment to investing in the potential and future of young people.

Through our various programmes, we continue to promote youth development and economic empowerment through tertiary education sponsorships, support for street hawkers and vulnerable youth, free medical outreaches and NHIS renewals, drug abuse prevention and advocacy programmes, and initiatives that empower young women with entrepreneurial skills and opportunities.

We believe that when young people are educated, healthy, skilled, drug-free and economically empowered, they become powerful agents of positive change in their communities.

At Kabaka Foundation Ghana, empowering the youth today means building a stronger Ghana tomorrow.

Yesterday, 28th May 2026, marked World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026. Kabaka Foundation Ghana proudly partnered with the Ga East Municipal Health Directorate to provide menstrual hygiene education and distribute free sanitary pads to adolescent girls in selected public basic schools within the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

This initiative forms part of our commitment to promoting menstrual health, empowering young girls, and ensuring that no girl misses school because of her menstrual cycle.

Together, we are breaking barriers, promoting dignity, and creating a healthier future for our young girls.
