🎓 GOH 2025 Scholar Spotlight: Abdulai Mardia

Mardia, a former kayayei, once had a dream to pursue higher education.

Today, she carries her books and walks through the halls of the College of Nursing and Midwifery- Kubori, where she pursues a Diploma in Public Health Nursing.

Her journey represents more than personal success, it is a step toward improving healthcare in our communities and inspiring other Kayayei to believe that their dreams are achievable.

We are honoured to support Mardia as she embarks on this exciting chapter and look forward to the positive impact she will make as a future public health nurse.

🎓 GOH 2025 Scholar Spotlight

Today, we proudly introduce Adam Muzaika,

As a former kayayei, she faced many obstacles in her pursuit of education. Yet, she never gave up on her dream of building a better future.

With mentorship from the Glimmer of Hope Foundation Scholarship Programme, Adam is now pursuing a Certificate in Disease Control (Field Technician) at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Kintampo.

Her story is a powerful reminder that education can break cycles of poverty, restore hope, and create opportunities for lasting change. We are proud to stand beside Adam as she takes this important step toward a career dedicated to improving public health and serving her community.

We are proud to introduce Osman Shakira, a former Kayayei and one of our GOH 2025 Scholars.

With mentorship from the Glimmer of Hope Foundation Scholarship Programme, Shakira is pursuing a Diploma in Disease Control at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Nalerigu.

Her educational journey reflects determination, resilience, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in society. By pursuing a career in disease control, Shakira is preparing herself to contribute to healthier communities through disease prevention, health promotion, and public health education.

At Glimmer of Hope Foundation, we believe every woman deserves the opportunity to rise above her circumstances and build a future filled with dignity, purpose, and hope.

We are excited to partner with Gyedzi Foundation and the She Believes Mentorship Program – Cohort 2 Mentees for Hope Beyond the Head Pan: Restoring Dignity and Opportunity for Kayayei Women.

This impactful event will bring together women, mentors, and changemakers to inspire, equip, and empower Kayayei women with practical knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities for a better future.

🎓 Meet Salifu Rashida – GOH 2025 Scholar

At Glimmer of Hope Foundation, we believe that every young woman deserves the opportunity to pursue her dreams regardless of her circumstances.

We are proud to introduce Salifu Rashida, a former Kayayei, who is currently pursuing a Diploma in Midwifery at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Nalerigu.

Rashida’s journey is one of courage, perseverance, and hope. Through hard work and determination, she has taken an important step toward achieving her dream of becoming a midwife and contributing to the health and wellbeing of mothers and children in her community.

Through our mentorship, and educational support programmes, Glimmer of Hope Foundation remains committed to helping young women like Rashida access quality education and build brighter futures.

We are excited to walk alongside her on this journey and look forward to celebrating her future achievements.
