At Mulan, inclusion is something we intentionally build into every space we create.

Our new library is another step in that journey — creating access to books, literacy, discovery and meaningful learning experiences for ALL our learners.

This project was made possible through the kindness of Dr. Terri Lynn and collaboration of Teacher Created Materials, Representative Emily Voshell, caring colleagues and supporters, and the State of Maryland Literacy Association – Howard County Chapter.

Neurodiversity exists in everyday life — in how people learn, communicate, focus, process emotions, solve problems, and experience the world differently.

Some children may struggle with eye contact but express themselves beautifully through art. Others may be highly intelligent yet need support with attention, social interaction, speech, sensory processing, or emotional regulation.

Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Differences, Speech & Language Delays, and other neurodiverse conditions are not limitations of worth — they are different ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing life.
